In Spring 2011, I organized a project that involved students and parents from King K-8 School and da Vinci Arts Middle School, folks from King Neighborhood, and local organizations working together to transform a vacant lot into a vibrant community resource for gardening, education and art. For photos, videos and audio clips from the creative workshops and events, please link to the project website: emersonstreetproject-blog.tumblr.com
Here’s a link to an article the Oregonian wrote on the project.
